Assessment of current functional work abilities, barriers to return to work, functional abilities and limitations, return to work prognosis, recommendations for rehabilitation and treatment, support to stay at work and return to work, including Gradual Return to Work programs (GRTW), coordinating with the client, employer, and insurer to support optimal outcomes. Experienced across mental health, psychological injury, and physical injury claims.
Concussion, Pain & Mental Health.
Client-centered programs are designed to impart skills, knowledge, and support clients to confidently self-manage challenging symptoms of mental health and chronic health conditions and to increase function and participation in all areas of daily life. Areas of clinical specialty include anxiety & depression, PTSD, chronic pain, chronic fatigue (e.g., Long Covid, ME/CFS), and concussion recovery. Programs are highly customized to help clients improve sleep, better manage pain, build resilience, and improve the overall quality of life.
Home & Community Rehabilitation.
Individualized, client-centered, and goal-oriented programs for those dealing with an injury, illness, or conditions that are impacting their ability to function in their daily activities, such as at home, school, and work. Extensive rehabilitation experience in spinal cord / catastrophic injury, head injury, and complex orthopedic injury. Sessions or programs are tailored to individual needs and the complexity of the injury or condition.
In-Home Safety & Mobility.
Experienced assessment and consultation for a wide range of home safety and mobility equipment. Experienced in seating and mobility prescriptions, including manual and power wheelchairs. Assists with improved home safety and mobility, community access, promotes independence with daily activities, and successful aging in place.
Ergonomic Assessments & Support.
Skilled and practical assessment of home and office work-stations, such as desktop, laptop, tablet, and communication devices, recommendation of ergonomic strategies and/or equipment recommendations to reduce symptoms of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and pain, and improve work station comfort and efficiency.
Home Accessibility & Aging In Place.
Experienced assessment and consultation on home modifications/renovations to enable wheelchair accessibility for residential homes and commercial buildings. Universal Design and accessibility consultation can also be provided for a wide range of health conditions, including low vision, aging, and cognitive impairment.
